It has been too long....

I have been slacking at writing about my wedding photography. I guess I figured since I didn't have any followers that it was kind of like talking to myself. But seeing as how I do internet marketing during the day, I see how imporant blogs can be. So I guess I am starting anew!!

I shot the wedding of Andrew and Sara a few weeks ago. I never would have thought that shooting a wedding in June I would be freezing my butt off, but I was. The weather was cold and overcast. And even though the bridesmaids were shivering, we managed to get a bunch of really nice photos. Both the bride and groom were willing to spend a little extra time doing some of the more creative shots which made for a good choice of photos from the day. We did the normal posed shots and then spent some time at a park doing pictures of just the couple and their bridal party. It was a very pleasant wedding to shoot and I really did have fun.

My next wedding is mid-July. I pray it won't be a million degrees and that my flight from Vegas gets in on time Friday night. Wish me luck!

November is not as slow as it used to be!

It's November and that used to mean that my camera would be put away for a few months and I got a break from shooting. That's not the case this year. This year I am busier than ever. A few weeks ago, on October 29th, I shot a birthday party at Karma downtown. It was a lot of fun. A fancy cake to take pictures of, lots of people dancing and having a good time. I really enjoyed myself and was pleased with the pictures.

Thanksgiving weekend I have booked a wedding too. I have never shot over Thanksgiving weekend so this is a first for me. A bit of a challenge if the snow decides to fly but we will make due. There will be lots of other places to shoot pictures if it's a blizzard outside.

Working Hard

I have been hard at work lately. I shot Kristy and Nicolas' wedding on September 18th in Illinios. It wasn't the greatest of weather but it was good enough to shoot a great wedding. No wind or rain and that's all I ask! I was able to get Kristy her DVD of images within a week of her wedding so that worked out very well. I hope she was happy with that!

My next wedding is in Brookfield in Mid October. I have a lot of other projects I have been working on so I am glad that I have had a mini break from shooting. I have also had time to play a little bit with my new 70-200mm lens. It is going to take some getting used to so I want to play around with it as much as possible.

Friday Wedding This Week!

This week I will be shooting my first Friday wedding. I am looking forward to a very busy but fun-filled day. The wedding will be shot at a golf course. I will be posting a few photos after the wedding.
